Message from the Academic Dean

Purcell Marian is proud to offer a rigorous quality education in the tradition of the Society of Mary and Sisters of Charity under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.  We strive to develop each student spiritually, intellectually and physically resulting in graduates who are respectful towards others, pursue knowledge, are accustomed to a diverse environment, and who live a life dedicated to learning and service.

The personalized curriculum offers a broad spectrum of courses at different academic levels that strives to meet the educational needs of all students through a variety of learning experiences including dual credit opportunities.  These allow students to earn as many as 55 college credits through a unique partnership with Xavier University and the University of Mt. St. Joseph as well as traditional AP (Advanced Placement) courses.

The Intersession Program, which takes the place of Spring Break, provides an opportunity to engage in learning in a way which is not possible in a traditional classroom or during a regular school day.  Through this program, students have the opportunity to travel to Rome, Greece, London, Ireland or more locally, with trips like, Washington D.C. or San Francisco.   Intersessions allow for deeper explorations into fields such as technology, history and science

We invite you to take a look at our departmental offerings…
