Welcome to the College & Career Counseling Center!

The purpose of the College & Career Counseling program is to facilitate four-year partnerships with each family to ensure that all Purcell Marian students are working toward enrollment in college, employment in a career, or enlistment in the military upon graduation from high school.  This new site will serve as an important resource tool for families in supporting their students in these endeavors, so be sure and check back regularly!

This Just in: Free Scholarship Fair Hosted by the Infinite Scholars Program!

Seniors interested in participating in a free scholarship fair at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center should RSVP here: Scholarship Fair RSVP form


There is room for 20 seniors to attend- attendance is first come, first served with priority given to students meeting scholarship eligibility criteria.


Students who are interested in participating should plan on attending a brief informational meeting Wednesday, 8/29, during 7th bell in the College and Career Counseling Center. Students attending must agree to participating in workshops to prepare for this event.

Resources to Get Started

-Create an account using The College Board website to browse careers. This site also has a wealth of important information about colleges as well as many standardized tests, including AP tests. 

-Use the Occupational Outlook Handbook by the Bureau of Labor Statistics to find career information on duties, education and training, pay, and outlook for hundreds of occupations.

-Join the website College Greenlight to find information about colleges and begin searching for scholarships.

-Make sure you know all of the upcoming ACT dates.
