Always Together

“Together” has never been just a buzzword at Purcell Marian. “Together! Onward Cavaliers” is the guiding spirit behind how we’ve done things since 1928 – in good times and bad. Our International Baccalaureate World School status, Career Initiatives Program within our College+Career Center, and Center for Student Support Services were all conceived from the idea that we must be an inclusive, adaptive, and forward-thinking high school.

Our move to distance learning was accomplished with the same spirit in mind. Implementing a full online curriculum in less than a week required the full collaboration of our teachers, students, parents, education partners (Beech Acres Parenting Center and Forward Edge), and administration.

From making sure that every PM family had access to the technology that would make synchronous classroom environments possible from home, to making sure we were communicating with students, teachers, and parents every step of the way, our distance-learning efforts were truly accomplished “Together”.

Reactions to Distance Learning

PM Distance Learning Response

When the move to online distance learning became necessary, Purcell Marian was ready. From the development of our action plan to the extension of distance learning, even to socially distant graduations, PM was ahead of the curve every step of the way.
