IB courses are recognized for their rigor worldwide, and many IB students are rewarded with college credit upon successfully completing the program. Students are also eligible to earn the IB Diploma, which is a significant credential for college applications. College admissions officers will be familiar with the program's reputation.
Nearly all higher education institutions in the US will consider performance in the IB Diploma Programme (DP) for the purpose of admissions or other factors including granting course credit, advanced standing, scholarships, or financial aid.
