Dr. Erken has taught at several universities, including Ohio State and Capital. She’s worked as a journalist and a copy-writer. Recently, Dr. Erken lived and taught English at an International Baccalaureate school in Moscow, Russia. She’s thrilled to be teaching at Purcell Marian because she wants to share what she’s learned teaching IB with American students too. Of all the programs available, She believes that IB’s education curriculum manages to focus students on rigor and critical thinking in a way that will set them up for success in life.
