We salute Math Teacher Joe Muenchen on his retirement after 35 remarkable years in Catholic education, including the last four at Purcell Marian. His dedication and passion have left an indelible mark on generations of students, athletes, parents, and fellow educators.

Thank you for challenging our students to be open-minded risk-takers that eagerly pursue knowledge and new experiences. May your retirement be filled with joy, relaxation, and all the adventures of which you've dreamed.

On this day, when we honor the brave men and women

On this day, when we honor the brave men and women who died while serving our country, Purcell Marian High School is proud to announce the naming of Guy “Bear” Barattieri Field at Staubach Stadium.

Barattieri was a 1988 graduate of Purcell Marian and helped lead the Cavalier football program to an undefeated season and a state championship in 1986. Tragically, Barattieri made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Iraq in 2006.

“The decision to name the field after Guy reflects our deep appreciation for his service and sacrifice," said Andy Farfsing ’95, Principal/CEO. "It is a fitting honor for a man who embodied the principles and values that Purcell Marian strives to instill in our students.”
