Emily is a native of Cincinnati. She is a two-time graduate of the University of Dayton and also a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, where she received her master’s in community and school counseling. She has four degrees in total and describes herself as a “super nerd.” She lived in Chicago for several years before moving home to be closer to family and friends. She lives with her husband Jake, rescue mutt Hank, and son Simon. As a family, they like to spend time outside, cook big meals, be with extended family, and work in their garden. Emily loves helping students figure out that they have all the tools they need to build an amazing future, and that they just have to learn how to use them and never be afraid to make a new plan and start over.
