Purcell Marian Announces Class of 2026 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Purcell Marian High School is proud to announce Valerie Martin as the valedictorian and Eddie Mohr as the salutatorian of the Class of 2026.

Valerie is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Candidate and a member of the National Honor Society. At PM, she has been a member of the Mock Trial team, the Academic Team, a Volleyball letterwinner, and a member of the Science Club.

As an IB Diploma Candidate, Valerie wrote her Extended Essay on the causes of the 2001 Cincinnati Riots and the Cincinnati Police Department. Her Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) project focused on cleaning and organizing the PM Art Department closet to better serve PM Art students.
She will attend the University of Dayton as a Flyer Promise scholar, where she will study entrepreneurship and marketing. Valerie attended St. Vivian.

Eddie Mohr is also an International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate and a member of the National Honor Society. He was the 2025 recipient of the Roger T. Staubach Scholarship for excellence in the classroom and athletics. He is a letterwinner in baseball and soccer and was a member of the science club.

Eddie's Extended Essay focused on the rise in popularity of baseball in Korea during the Cold War. His CAS project saw him coach his brother's baseball team

Eddie will attend Xavier University. He came to Purcell Marian from Nativity School.
