Chris Richard, a graduate of Purcell Marian class of '91 shared this recent update. "After graduating from PMHS, I attended Ohio University and then spent 24 years working for Shepherd Chemical as an engineer, production manager and engineering manager. My wife, Rhonda, and I were married in 2011 and our twin daughters, Hannah and Kinley, were born in 2013. On Christmas Day in 2020, my wife and I officially became missionaries with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and were commissioned to serve in Buenos Aires (BA), Argentina. In April of 2021, our family moved to Puebla, MX to learn Spanish for one year. In March of 2022, our family moved to our new home in Buenos Aires to begin our ministry work as Church Planting Catalysts. In our roles, we serve in and provide support and training to the local churches in Buenos Aires, partnering with them to pursue an Acts 1:8 vision for the Buenos Aires church - taking the gospel to the ends of the earth. Additionally, we seek to plant new churches here in Buenos Aires, specifically in the city center or CABA. We want to see Argentine national believers sent to the ends of the earth, and we want to inspire believers from the US to go to the nations. We will live here for 2 years, return to the states for a few months, and return to Buenos Aires or go wherever the LORD leads. We plan to continue this pattern of several years abroad with intermittent short stateside visits for the duration of our career with the International Mission Board." ... See MoreSee Less
