The simplest way to support Purcell Marian is by making a gift online to support Purcell Marian’s Annual Fund or make a memorial or gift in someone’s honor.

Catholic Education Foundation - SGO
Purcell Marian is a member of the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) which has been certified by the State of Ohio as a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). By donating to Purcell Marian through the CEF-SGO, you can receive an Ohio income tax credit up to $750 per individual or $1,500 per joint Ohio tax return. Click for more information.
Matching Gifts
Matching gifts are donations made by a company to a charitable cause that an employee of the company has already donated to. When you donate to Purcell Marian High School, your company might match your donation.
Over 18 million US workers are employed with companies that have corporate matching gift programs. Matching gifts from companies can often double or even triple the impact of the original gift.

Memorial + Honorarium Gifts
Memorial and honorarium gifts are a meaningful way to honor your classmates, former teachers, coaches, relatives, and friends, while at the same time carrying forward the mission of Catholic education at Purcell Marian High School. The legacy of carrying on a Purcell Marian education values is a lasting way to honor someone today and impact the future.
Making memorial and honorarium gifts is simple online. You can share the contact information of the honored person to receive notification of the gift or share that a gift has been made in memory of a loved one to their next of kin.
Class Gifts
Class gifts are a great way to show your pride and pass on the legacy of outstanding education and leadership - Praestans Inter Omnes | Outstanding Among All. Many classes choose to support an upcoming capital effort or specific need for the school, such as purchasing a van, new uniforms for a team, or the renovation of a classroom. To coordinate a class gift for an upcoming milestone reunion, please let us know of your plans, and we would be happy to assist with your fundraising efforts.
Gifts of Stock
If you would like to donate through a stock transfer or with a gift of stock, you or your broker may contact our Director of Development, who will assist in coordinating the transfer with our business office.
Endowed Gifts
The Purcell Marian Endowment currently stands at more than $5 million. Within the endowment, generous donors have established individual funds to support Cavalier students in perpetuity. The majority of our endowed funds are scholarships established by families to ensure their legacy at the Castle. However, there are opportunities to support programs and positions at Purcell Marian.
There are currently more than 28 named scholarships within the Purcell Marian Endowment. These funds are the foundation of the more than $500,000 are given annually in need-based tuition assistance each school year.
Currently, a minimum gift of $40,000 is required to begin an endowed fund. A donation of $300,000 will fully fund a student scholarship covering all tuition and fees for the 2021-2022 school year.

Planned Giving
The legacy of families who invested in a quality Catholic education at St. Mary’s, Purcell, Marian, Regina, and Purcell Marian High School has built Purcell Marian High School. Planned or estate giving allows you to carry on your family legacy and have a tremendous impact on the next generation of students at Purcell Marian High School. You can make an estate gift to the school in multiple ways, including:
- Gifts in your will;
- Charitable gift annuities and trusts; and
- Bequests of appreciated assets such as stocks/securities and real estate and life insurance beneficiaries.
Making a planned gift allows you to support Purcell Marian High School while achieving your estate planning and financial goals. Many planned giving methods benefit the donor and the school by reducing or eliminating income, gift, and estate taxes. Creating the legacy you wish to leave behind is an honorable way to ensure your impact continues at the Castle.
The simplest and most traditional way to impact Purcell Marian through Planned Giving is through a bequest under your will, either as a specific sum, a particular percentage of your estate, or the rest and remainder of your estate after debts, taxes, expenses, and specific bequests to your heirs.

You can support Purcell Marian High School just by shopping at Kroger. Enroll in Kroger Community Rewards®! To get started, sign up with your Plus Card here, and select Purcell Marian High School to support your everyday purchases. Once you're enrolled, you'll earn rewards for the Castle every time you shop and use your Plus Card. You will need to re-enroll each year to continue earning rewards for Purcell Marian.
Time + Prayer
Not every gift to Purcell Marian High School is financial. Contributions of time and prayer are welcomed and needed for our school community and students to thrive. If you wish to volunteer your time on a committee or advisory capacity, one-off needs, or supporting our students through athletics or an extracurricular activity, please reach out to us to let us know how we can best utilize your gifts to support Purcell Marian High School.
