Why Co-ed?

Life is co-ed, and so is Purcell Marian

We believe mixed-gender friendships fostered in the co-ed experience at Purcell Marian can help prevent gender stereotypes and gender bias. Our co-ed atmosphere prepares our students for the real world by encouraging an environment where:

  • Inclusivity is celebrated;
  • Gender stereotypes and bias are challenged; and
  • Free-thinkers thrive.

Our annual programs are designed with thought-provoking themes, activities, and learning opportunities. These include but aren’t limited to:

  • Hispanic Heritage Month;
  • Black History Month;
  • Women’s History Month;
  • Spread the Word for Inclusion; and
  • Mental Health Awareness.
