Ella, Class of 2027
What makes IB so special is seeing what it can do for you and the doors it can open.
Last year, we went on a college tour visit with all of the Diploma candidates. Seeing that so many students had doors open to them because of IB, were able to get scholarships, and get into these really nice colleges, and seeing what all the hard work and these opportunities can do for you is the best part.
I also think IB has made me a lot more open-minded. It's made me ask more questions and not just understand enough to answer a question, but enough that I can ask my own questions and form my own understanding about things beyond just what's required for the class. I'm actually invested in what I'm learning in my education.
